I did not really start adding mts to SP until early May of this year even though I signed a log or two last year. So quite a few of my adds are mts I might have climbed during the past few years. My minimum is 40 mts per year. My ultimate goal is 1,000,000 new feet in 6 years starting January 1, 2003. That means not including repeats. I sort of have a publishing deal for a book if I decide to pursue such.
I find there are two types of climbers, those that want to perfect a route and will climb it several times over which include most of my climbing partners and then the oddball like me who wants to experience as much new backcountry as possible. So I end up doing a lot solo. I mix technical climbs with many scrambles throughout the year and will not count any hikes or walk ups. The average elevation gain is averaging 3900'. I thank god everyday for these knees.
Cheers Gazelle! |
