I guess I need to look for this mountain the next time I drive up this way. Nice looking page and perhaps a good place to see a moose!

	Hasn't voted	It's funny you mention about moose. This was the first time I did Mt. Moosilauke and South Peak and driving back on 118 my girlfriend and I saw a moose! The funny thing was that it was at 2:30 in the afternoon which I thought was kind of an odd time for moose to be out since it was broad daylight. It was pretty cool though! Good page and nice mountain in the western Whites. I looked at the Topozone Map. Would it be possible to do a ridge traverse that linked South Peak, Mt. Moosilauke, Mt. Blue, Mt. Jim, and Mt. Waternomee in one day with two cars?

	Hasn't voted	First of all thanks so much for your kind words and vote. To answer your question, yes, it is definitely possible. To do a ridge traverse by taking the Snapper Trail to the Carriage Road and down the Beaver Brook Trail, or vice versa, the distance would be 7.8 miles. You could actually do an out and back if you wanted too and still get a reasonable round-trip distance between ten and fourteen miles. I hope I have answered your question, if not, let me know. With only about eighty feet of prominence and its principal route already described on the Moosilauke page, this wasn't on my list of subpeaks that might need their own pages. But the peak does have about a mile of separation and the page is well done. Besides, I can't complain since I recently put up Mt Lethe & North Carter.
