Nice page! If I get over there next summer I'll make a point to hit this peak. Thanks for sharing!

Welcome to SummitPost!

Great that you have added this fine mountain! If you add some more information it can easily become a complete 4-star page. Allow me a few suggestions:

- Pictures are fine, I didn't vote on them only because you're not the author of them. But it's OK that you've added them, if the author agrees.

- Maresenspitze belongs to the Ankogel GROUP and (broader) to Hohe Tauern. We have here on SummitPost the respective two group pages with some general information (even if they are not the most brilliant). You might link (how to link, see FAQ) to these broader pages, for example with a sentence like this:

Geographical structure: Eastern Alps > Hohe Tauern GROUP > Ankogel SUBGROUP > Maresenspitze

- If you say 'EDIT', you will also find an option to express that Maresenspitze belongs to a specific (Ankogel) group.

- It is fine to assign one picture as a signature picture, appearing by the title (see 'EDIT' and then fields).

Cheers!

Coordinates are a bit wrong. Please correct to: Lat=47.002733906678834, Lon=13.228225708007812.

This is a nice first page – welcome to SummitPost!

I second Vid with his comments and have a few more:

- the more common name is "Maresenspitze" as peaks are normally feminin, "Maresenpitz" is sort of Austrian dialect. So I supppose changing the name

- the austrian province is called "Kaernten" but you should use the english expression that is "Carinthia"

- Oberfvellach  Obervellach

- the normal winter ski route goes only until Kleine Maresenspitze, but it's possible to climb Maresenspitze itself in addition, tells my german guidebook (Manfred Korbaj, 1. Kärntner Schitourenspitze, Graz 1997, ISBN 3-900310-63-7)

Hello,

thank you for adding this mountain. The gaps in the Hohe Tauern are slowly filling up, that's very nice! I'll maybe climb Maresenspitze in august. The page is very nice but need still some additions. But it is already very nice!

Greetz Seba

(I'll add the links to the Hohe Tauern page+ Ankogel GROUP page)
