Voted 10/10 | Another beauty. The Gore Range rocks. Would Pt. 12,370 be contained in this pic?

Hasn't voted | I believe Point 12,370 is to the left of the pinnacle flipping you off. I posted a comment on your photo. Thanks for stopping by. This was a great hike and climb in a spectacular area, which of course, is no surprise to you. I'm sure the Gores will figure in my coming years of experiences with at least a few trips each season.

Voted 10/10 | Maybe this photo shows the flip off mountain too?

Hasn't voted | No. It's out of view to the left. The pinnacle to the right of the Spider is part of the Spider and is seen in the typical view from the Piney River/Mount Powell trail area.

Voted 10/10 | Yes indeed, already a great page Aaron! Ah, the Spider and the Fly. Last June Andy and I tried to get back there the day after Peak C, but we underestimated the time it would take us just to reach the base. Fantastic area.

Hasn't voted | The approach from Piney Lake is a long one. 6 miles. A day trip would be epic. A camp seems reasonable. A trail all the way to upper Piney Lake seems unlikely. I don't see evidence of one in Theron's summit photo from the Spider. So this may be a challenge. Camping out is practically out of the question for me except in serious circumstances. Is this one of them? We'll have to see. Thanks for the vote and comment. This was a fun page to assemble.

Voted 10/10 | Actually we underestimated the time from a camp below Peak C! There was still snow on the trail so getting back there was not obvious. Repeating this attempt right about now would have been one of my priorities for this summer... maybe next year!

Voted 10/10 | Great page Aaron. The Gore Range twelvers realy do have some stellar views, don't they? Do you have plans to return to the area this summer? I have an itch for Peak X and H... I'd like to try for them in the near future weather permitting. Jon

Hasn't voted | Hi Jon. Thanks for voting on this little page. The 12ers really seem to have a "defiant edginess" to them when compared to their larger, predictably craggy 13er neighbors, don't they? And the views are indeed unbeatable. The 12ers really do have a ton, sometimes a great more to offer. Keep up your outstanding work on the Gores. You and Kane are tops in this regard, IMO.

Voted 10/10 | Man, talk about obscure! This one came as a surprise, I had no idea where this one was until I looked up your excellent TOPO. Were you going for The Fly/Spider? I'm inAspen right now, using my buddy's tiny laptop, can't stand it. But hey, your photos still looked great!

Hasn't voted | Thanks Kane. We had hoped to do the Fly and Spider, but our map was destroyed by moisture in Ellen's pants pocket during the hike in and we climbed what we thought was the Fly. By then, the weather window was lost and we made a quick retreat. The mountain was awesome anyway, so I went ahead and submitted it. You had wanted me to do Vista, but Jon was already on top of that. Just as well. You guys really do the Gores justice. Thanks for the vote.

Voted 10/10 | Looking forward to North Maroon this September. Today, I was blessed with another perfect day in the Elks. I climbed UN13,336 and West Sievers Mountain. You should see the view of the Bells and Pyramid from West Sievers. Big enough to make you pee down your leg. Godd lord I love the Gore Range, but they just can't hold a candle to the Maroon Bells/Snowmass Wilderness. Too much color. The Willow Lake Basin may be the mst beautiful place I have ever been. Absolutely loaded with wild flowers and Willow lake is huge. I'm so happy you have Buckskin on your map, I need to talk to you about that in person before you head on out for it. I know the area like the back of my hand and want to make sure you do it up right!

Voted 10/10 | It's summer time for me, and I have an office job so I have a lot of spare time if you know what I mean. I'll take it while I can because once school starts that will all disappear. I'll be lucky to be on every two days. Thanks though Aaron and keep up the great work as always. You're one of a couple people I really look up to on this site. Take care! -Britt
