Good page! The mountain shimmers reddish. What is it composed of? Red granite? Porphyry?

Hasn't voted

My old State of CA geologic map indicates pre-Cretaceous metasedimentary rocks. It is not red granite, and the types of rocks are pretty varied. I snapped a few photos of some of them, but climbers will take all of it as "rubble."
