"The 6000 acre Platoro Reservoir is the highest man-made lake in North America. "

You get me all worked up about the highest reservoir in America and then you don't even tell us how high the damn thing is! Geeeez.

Outstanding page Alan!

Love the reflection shot - the greens, the blues..."serenity now!!"

Allen this is another good one. Thanks for sharing. I wish I wasn't such a homebody... I'd spend more time in the San Juans otherwise.

Jon, this is a great dog and kid climb. We plan to go back next year and do some fly fishing in the area. Thanks for the vote.

Another great addition to SP, Alan. Most all of the Colorado county high points (the mountainous ones, that is) are covered now.

Larry, that's one of the main reasons we went up there this year because Conejos needed to be on SP. We tried to get up there a few years ago with the kids but got weathered out. Thanks for the vote.

Hi Alan, 4 stars, is too much to ask for a TOPO?

It would be difficult to access in winter due to the road closing in November. However, you could ski in late fall or late spring. Thanks for the vote.

Most mellow mountain. Thought it was San Luis peak when I first saw the pix. The reflections and the one with the scattered evergreens are really good.
