Jahneston - the name doesn't sound (or look) like it's Iranian in origin. A beautiful page and nice how you placed all those thumbnails in the text.

I actually have not heard this name all that much. I have mostly read it on maps in Farsi. I put the "h" in it because I did not want it to be read as an English word "Janeston (Jeynston)". In German, you probably read it as "Yanzton" or something like that. In Farsi, it is read as Jaa-nes-ton. The way it is written, it could also be read as "Jaan-Sotoon" which could mean "life taker". It was not that bad a peak!!

A very nice page and I get flashbacks from my walks and climbs in Iran when I see that typical kind of nature.

Another really impressive work by you. You know, pages you add are sort of a very good guide to how a page should be. I have learned from them a lot and they have been a great motivation for me to explore more.

Thank you for your vote and encouraging words. There are so many mountains in Iran waiting to be explored. Together, we can introduce them to the world.

Good page, but it opens very slowly, due to the many clickable thumbnails.

I don't even know how to say it in Farsi. One person said it is Jan Sotoon (life taker).

I didn't want people to read it as the English word "Janeston" (Jeynzton) so I put an "H" in it.

I am not sure if it is "ton" or "toon".
