Voted 10/10 | Hehe, I'm sure you're afraid of Marcelo suing you now for making him fall in love with Canadian mountains. Good one again.

Hasn't voted | Please Gangolf, don't mention the "s" word...why do you think I sold my biz and moved to Canada to begin with? Do many damn lawyers in the states. THANKS FOR YOUR VOTE!![]()

Voted 10/10 | It's amazing how fast the library of Canadian peaks can grow. It only takes one person... Another good page!

Hasn't voted | Thanks for your support Corax. I just read your review on La Sportiva Trango S (somebody said the review was not helpful, yet the most informative one I have read at SP).....I have been contemplating this boot for awhile...you know my stuff, extremely mixed...I am the kind of guy who climbs short ice routes in hiking boots due to weight concerns...I have full on alpine boots for the more technical routes.....mostly I am never on long ice or rock routes...most of my trad is 5.6-5.9, would be nice to completely eliminate hauling rock shoes, which I start doing for any 5.8. I have picked them up in stores, obviously I am attracted to the weight, yet a lot firmer sole than a hiking boot...a lot lighter than an alpine boot...but not waterproof??? bottom line, is there a boot you would recommend for complete travel-comfortable, yet technical and lightweight-that beats this one? you do a lot of multi-treking...Thanks.

Voted 10/10 | I really like Asolo Summit TH. It's the same type of shoe as the La Sportiva, but of much better quality. I used this model a lot and like a lot. I think it's a very allround shoe, as I've been hiking, climbing lots of non-technical peaks (like all the Andean peaks some months back), ice-climbing, scrambling and I also tried them out for some rock-climbing. and...hihi, I have used them for cycling :-) I would say almost every feature on the Asolo is better than on the La Sportiva. Voted 10/10 | I think I can speak for most at summitpost by saying we are greatful and very thankful for your membership and your great Canadian pages. You have opened at least my eyes (if not many more) to the beauty of the Canadian Rockies. Keep putting the pages up!

Hasn't voted | Thank you Greg. I appreciate you long support and encouragement as well. It means a lot. Greg, how far are you from Bolton, VT? Know anything about the ski hill there? Stacy (wife) and I might bid on 15acres adjacent to the Timberline Lodge. The sale is Sept 29. It is the same type of sale where we purchased the property we own outside of Brattleboro. My wife swears she is going to live in VT when she is old. Just curious what you know about the area. Going to peruse your Mansfield page...know that is close by. Cheers.
