Voted 10/10 | This is my best definition. Class 1: Walkup Class 2: Steep walkup with some boulders or scree likely. Class 3: Scrambling using hands sometimes. Class 4: Climbing with hands necessary, approaching technical rock climbing. Class 5: Rock climbing necessary. | |

Hasn't voted | Thank you for your vote. When it comes to mountains, names can certainly be confusing. I suppose more than a hundred years ago when climbing was not popular, there was no need to give a name to each and every peak, so the same name could refer to a whole bunch of peaks. | |
