Nice page.

Now you should climb it and add a few summit shots. It would make a nice little weekend outing, right?

:-)

I had a very close look at it, but...no. Most of the peaks around there looked negotiable. GIV and K2 are two monsters and is the side of Muztagh Tower I saw.

Wow! G4 is quite a mountain and deserves an SP page to match. Nice job, especially with all the useful travel info toward the bottom. As a sub-8ker, it probably gets less attention than it deserves.

Thanks!

If it had been 75 m higher there would be fewer climbers who had managed to climb all the peaks over 8000m.

It's like you say: everyone is out for the peaks over 8000m.

Great page and great information. I have a friend of a friend, whom I've never personally met, who climbed G4. The stories my buddy told me were mind-blowing. Quite a difficult mountain!

Wow, who is that?

Any of the persons mentioned on the page?

Did he/she summit?

Lots of q's.

You know, I can't remember the guy's name. My buddy always refers to him by his first name, and none on your page rang a bell. I don't think I've ever even heard his last name more than once. He's an American, was (is?) sponsored by Patagonia, and was at the time a professional alpinist. He's retired now with a normal job.

My friend met him by chance through someone else. They don't climb together (my friend isn't a pro). They keep in contact through email every few months, sort of pen pals.

I'm 90% sure he summited. My friend is out of town until about two weeks from now, but I'll be sure to ask him more about it.

Working on it...remember the discussion we had before this journey?

Didn't go digital and I regret that now.
