Yes, the cross is one of the main attractions. But the summit is so easy that climbing is not really neccessary. Lucky me :-)

Thanks

That cross was a shocking photo to met by, unexpectadly, but a good story go with it. :-)

Now come on Lolli, that cross doesn't look that real, does it? Saw your centering question on the boards. Why not have a look at the bottom part of the faq?

Interesting place. Reminds me of Slick Rock country in Utah.

Thanks Nader! The Dolomites are famous for their high plateaus. At a first glance you don't see a living thing but after a while you'll find thousands of little flowers coming out of the cracks. I have a picture you'll like and which I'll post on the future Cima Fradusta Page with yellow poppies popping out directly from the rock.

Excellent page.

Have to agree with everybody that this is a really beautiful summit cross (don´t like them normally).

Unfortunately we stopped at Sella del Pisciadù (or Pissadù): too hot that day of August 2001!

And the descent along Val Lasties was waiting for us...

I'm not a big fan of starting pages with a picture. I like text to come first but I don't gussy up my pages as much as you. Other than that, no other beefs, porks, or sausages.
