Nice looking page so far. Seems like the fog rolling through would be magnificent!

Thank you very much. I'm not done yet!

And yes, it is impressive when it rolls in

Cool page! If the weather weren't so bad up there I'd love to spend a vacation in the Lofoten. But I heve been washed out of Norway once before - three weeks with two days of sun, 15 days of rain! :-(

You must have been real lucky judging from your pictures :-)

:-) Yes, it was a lovely summer, we even swam in the Arctic Ocean. 11 degrees Celcius - I will never do it again...

but the next summer when we returned, it was such stormwinds, that our tent ripped open in the seams and we had to move into the other one with the guys. We laid in there, four people, afraid that the wind would lift the entire tent and blow us out to sea.

Beautiful photos of a really cool place lolli! Even though they are of low elevation, maybe put insert the highest one in the elevation box so it doesnt read 0'.

:-) thank you IdahoKid! I hope you make it over there some time, it's an truly amazing area.

I tried to put "varies" in the height box, but it didn't work, so I will take the height of Breidtinden, that's the only one I know for sure.

Vågakallen is 942m. Don't know if it's the highest peak.

Thanks Corax - I just wanted people to get a feel of the heights, they vary a lot. I think though that Hermannsdalstinden on Moskenesøya is higher, it's 1.029 meters and Higravtinden on Austvågøy, which is 1.146 meters.

Wow!

This is one of the places I really want to go! Almost ALL my climbing friends have been there and ALL of them talk about extremely nice climbing, winter and summer.

I'll tell some friends to help out with photos and routes.

Thank you and please do, the page needs more photos. All my photos are in a mess, I don't know where I put photos from the second trip

And YES!! you really ought to go up there, I'm sure you'd enjoy it. It's really lovely and different from everything else in Scandinavia.

Great page on this mountain group. Beautiful pictures of the islands. My favorite photo is of Breidtinden. That is a cool looking granite peak.

thank you, mountaingazelle! Yes, it's impressive, not so high, but it looks really tough, like a giants tooth.

thank you, WoundedKnee.

That's why I made the page, to make people go there, I think myself it's one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Did you live on Ireland for long? I haven't been there, but people keep telling me I ought to, it's seems to be a lovely place.
