There are two worthwhile guidebooks to Lofoten: Ed Websters "Climbing in the Magic Islands" is mainly aimed at rock climbers, with some mentions of other routes.
"Walks and Scrambles in Norway" by Anthony Dyer et al, contains 8 mountaineering/walking routes in Lofoten, including 4 in Moskenesoya.
Hi Lolli, thought that you might like to know that Rockfax have just released (May 3rd) a new climbing guide called Lofoten Rock. The best part of it is that you can download sections for free!
Thank you! It looks very interesting.
Well put: The Islands have an almost mythical status in Norway, and despite their remoteness, most Norwegians feel they have to visit the place at least once in their lives. For climbers the same could be said to be true, a remote stronghold of traditional climbing, on great rock, amongst marvellous scenery. The atmosphere of the islands is magical and weaves its spell on all who visit - trips are inevitably too short and returns are planned as soon as the peaks slip over the horizon.
I will put in a link to it when I get back next week.
