Terrific job Dow, I really had no idea the Canadian Rockies were so vast and serene until you joined SP.

Canmore, Alberta is at the entrance to Banff National Park. Banff borders three other national parks, Jasper, Kootney and Yoho. The icefields are mostly contained in Jasper and Banff. Then you have umpteen provincial parks surrounding the national parks, of which Kananaskis Country and the smaller parks within it, is one of the largest. Canmore is basically bordered on all sides by Kananaskis. We have our own wolf pack (Fairholme), our own mountains lions, bears, etc. One of the few places where you can actually own property. Most nearby towns are in the national parks and offer leasehold interests only, ie Banff, Jasper, Field. It is huge country up here. Many climbs are within one hour. Agradecimentos outra vez Marc.

Dow-I'm sorry I cannot get to all of your wonderful contributions and vote on them. I guess I could just blaze through one day and slap 4 stars on them all, but I don't know if that would do justice to them either. The material just pours forth from you and I can't keep up with everything else I must do. But keep it up! Stellar stuff you have done here, and Canada is just stunning (but lots of it looks too cold for me). Thanks for all of your hard work and sharing the Canadian Rockies with us!
