Sometimes I envy you guys in Colorado - there is no such thing as a faraway mountain anywhere in the alps. All valleys can be reached by car. And if not there will be a cablecar somewhere.



On the other hand we can dayhike peaks we otherwise would need to treck to. Come to think of it I never had to treck.



Hmm. perhaps I'm not so envious after all.

Good one. I didn't believe you about the Continental Divide thing and proceeded to give myself a headache tracing the South Fork of the Michigan River all the way across North Park. I'm much too stubborn to trace Big Dutch Creek two miles to the Colorado River. :)
