Hasn't voted | Good page. Perhaps add a weather link. The peak is actually pretty close to where I live (I live 36 miles south of Baggs) and I have viewed it on several occasions from the Elkhead Mountains. I looks really rounded. I have thought about climbing the thing, but once I found out that there was a road up there but thought I should wait until winter . If you are interested, you may want to list the mountains in the Elkheads as nearby, since you mention the Medicine Bows. Below is Black Mountain, and you can see the group for the Elkheads on that page. Black Mountain Somewhere west near Bridger Peak is some pointy and rugged peak called Quartz Mountain, or something like that? Did you see it by chance? | |
