Hasn't voted | Quartzite. The rock is actually very hard, but it is also very fractured because the mountains here are so old. They have been frost fractured over millions of years to the point that the rock is too fractured to do technical climbing on. In (rare) places where the rock is actually not fractured, the rock is very solid and hard and good for rock climbing. | |
