Everything Rob said plus:

Add photos.

Add a route to the summit.

Check out other pages on this site to see how one is done. Also, please read FAQ on submitting pages.

You've made some changes specifically addressing most of my comments, but it still feels skimpy. Maybe I'm just grumpy from the rain.

Edit: maybe it was the rain, maybe EK made some changes, but it doesn't seem too bad now. Still needs some work, though.

For small mountains try adding a bit of local history, such as you can read about here (scroll down a bit). Be sure to cite your sources.

-------------------------------------

A 1000-foot peak needs an extra-good page to justify its addition to SP. This is not even a good page.

Red tape: you haven't even mentioned that the peak is in a state forest (though managed by UMass). Give a link to an official park/Umass website if possible. The trailhead you mention seems to be on private land, is that right? Note that your trailhead does not seem to be the usual access, which is via Reservation Rd.

Getting there:

On the topozone map there are at least three trails to the summit, you need to mention the existence of the others, and ideally give directions to their trailheads.

I do know where Amherst is (I went to school out there) but Rob is mostly right - you should mention at least one highway (rte 9 would count, 91 would be better) that people might know where to find from Boston or Hartford. In any case, your directions are very poor - just how many miles are we supposed to creep along rte 63 looking for an ashram sign? Give distances!

If you've climbed it, sign the summit long. If you haven't climbed it, delete this page (or rather, ask the elves to do it for you by posting a note to site feedback).

Photos are a big part of what makes SP special. Add them if you've got them - show us these vaunted views and waterfalls!

Right now I am in the process of editing this page that I adopted (it was on the verge of deletion). I will climb this mountain rather soon and give more pictures later.

I echo most of the other comments.

Please tell me when updates have been done and I'll up the vote.

Edit.

Good.

The page has an active maintainer.

I hope you add some more photos so the viewers of the page can get a better idea about what the area looks like.

Cheers, JC.

I have just recently adopted this page from another user in or to save it from deletion. I have made some edits and added a number of links to the page.
