Hey Lukas, nice page!

I've been almost to the summit of this mountain, but I was with my uncle who didn't want to climb the last ridge, after the saddle. Too bad, looks like it would have been a very nice summit! Would also have been my first 3000er back then.

Anyway, nice page, and nice photos,

Cheers,

Rick

It' s a pitty that you haven' t reached the summit, because it is a very splendid mountain!

But maybe you' ll come back some day...

Cheers

Lukas

Thanks for your vote Marcelonatural!

It is a very splendid area and if the sun shines this lake turns green which looks breath-taking.

very fine - and quickly done - page! When I climbed Wannig yesterday (inspired by your page) I looked to the Sellrain mountains and could not imagine that it is possible to climb a 3000m-mountain without ski. Obviously I was wrong...

I' m glad that my mountain page inspired you climbing Wannig!

Our (a friend of mine and me) first goal for yesterday was Marienbergspitze but then we saw that weather will be VERY fine and so we said to us "let' s try a 3000er...". I think we would have met in Biberwier if we had climbed Marienbergspitze... :-)

Well as we started in Kühtai we tought "hmm... lets see how far we get"... but there were only a few tricky sections.

I have shot a photo of Wannig at around 11am - maybe you' ll see yourself on this shot ;-)

Exellent page with excellent shots. How is the weather at the moment? Is there snow already?

Thanks for your vote Gangolf!

Last saturday when I climbed the mountain weather was fine. The souther slopes are snow-free. On north-slopes or in the shadow it' s quite cold and the rock are covered with snow and ice. But you don' t need crampons or stuff like that...
