Excellent page and photos. Thanks for poting! Are the 5.2 miles round-trip or one way?

Round trip. I realized I don't specify that on any of my pages, so I'll have to fix that.

Excellent. Great coverage of a beautiful mountain that I've often thought about climbing. Your photos of Sneffels from this mountain are superb. This beautiful area never fails to stun newcomers and first-time viewers (as evidenced by fellow SPer's comments). Thanks for adding Gilpin. It's a great one!

Thank you, Kane. I miss Colorado a lot! I love the patterns that the scree makes there, too. Just beautiful!

Excellent page with beautiful pics. I almost climbed this peak in August but it was raining.

Thank you, Barry! August was a wet one down there this year. Erin and I were there for about eleven days. It rained on nine of them, including about four days of continual rain.

I was fortunate enough to fit Storm King and Silex into a one day window. It rained before and after, but that particular day was great.
