Voted 10/10 | What a day you had. 3 rams, mountain lion sighting and breaking your hand and hiking out in the dark. Yes indeed, a full day. Sorry to hear about your hand, I did something like that on Mt. Whitney last year and it kind of makes life a little more interesting when you need to grab onto something. Nice page and as usual, well done and interesting.

Hasn't voted | No worries Dean, that was last October for me as well, just now adding this mountain. Broke both of them last year, one skiing and one on this project. They have been abused much worse before, but not overated, I would like to keep them. Thanks. I still need to do Whitney one of these days. There is a motel there with my name all over it. Cheers!

Voted 10/10 | Good job--as usual! Lots of information; especially interesting bit about the "start and finish" camping areas on the full traverse. When did you do this mountain?--the pictures look to be from a different camera source than your usual. One critter I've never encountered is a mountain lion--which I hope to keep that way!

Hasn't voted | Thanks Saint, that was last October. My cameras were down, so I believe I was borrowing my wife's video camera for stills. Does not get any worse than that. I go through the cameras as you can imagine. HP started giving to me at cost this year as a little sponsorship deal which helps a lot. Cheers!

Voted 10/10 | Another great page. Funny name, though, but I guess it is descriptive.

Hasn't voted | Thanks Britt...watched that Penn State loss (incredible game) on the road with my Dad...broke his heart. Steelers sure did sneak one out last night. Assume you are a possible colts (lower caps on purpose) fan. Big game for my Pats next Monday night. Cheers.

Voted 10/10 | Yeah, that State loss was a heartbreaker and I'll never forgive Michigan! Blah! Oh well, they still have a shot at a bowl game. I'm a Skins fan, but the Patriots are a close second for me. I'm a New England boy, Sox and Patriots, so go Pats! Take care Dow! -Britt

Hasn't voted | lol, Melinda, this summit was October, 2004, same story told on multiple pages...ie, Mt Kidd I was climbing with a broken hand from climbing Television....it does sound like I break the same damn hand alot....last year I broke one skiing in March and then the other one on this descent last October....never broke them before, just started falling more with age.....meanwhile I keep them in my pockets as much as possible to avoid such a dilemma...cheers.

Voted 10/10 | I'm not sure I like the TV repeater on the summit (though it looks similar to the crosses the put up in the Alps) but I sure do like the page. Good route info!

Hasn't voted | Funny thing though Gangolf, they have some high-powered (read expensive) equip inside a small steel bldg held down by cables at the base of the tower. Guess they have to keep it a certain temperature as it is nicely heated through solar panels and propane. They use helicopters to access and supply it. Somebody could really do some serious vandalizing, but instead, they leave these bldgs wide open (another one on Mt. Stephen) and store water, medical kit, etc...in case anyone needs it. The Canadian way. Cheers!

Voted 10/10 | As long as it works I like the Canadian Way. They could have put up barbed wire - like I have seen it in so many places. Obviously they can trust Canadian mountaineers...
