
Voted 10/10 | Lower Table Rock is listed in the 'Cascade Volcanoes', but it is not a volcano. It is the old bed of the Rogue River which was filled by a lava flow. The lava resisted erosion and the soft banks eroded leaving the old riverbed elevated.
Also the Table Rocks species of fairy shrimp inhabit vernal pools around White City, the Medford Airport, and Josephine County. They are also found in the southern Central Valley of California.
