Very rugged indeed! I liked your long introduction to the range and the mountain itself. I can understand the R, but why Bledsoe? Any history?

Thanks for the vote. I thought someone would ask about hte Bledsoe name. I can't find any history on that name. It's just labeled as "Mount Bledsoe" on a map produced by pioneer Robert Ormes. Here's a link.

Another excellent page for a beautiful mountain. Thanks for posting! What kind of rock is Peak R made of?



One minor detail in the route page:



Staying as close to the ridge crest. -> Stay as close to the ridge crest as possible. (?)

Very impressive Kane. Strange that the Gores are only 60 miles from Denver but are so remote by approach standards. You have done a wonderful job of representing this rugged range.
