Interesting to see a peak located in the far north being added here on SP.

I would also appreciate if you added some more about how to climb the peak. Difficulties, do you need to rope up, etc.

Thanks for this interesting entry!

I added some books.

Edit.

Much better now.

I'm sorry, but the coordinates are wrong. The peak ended up in the ocean south of Australia when I checked it on the interactive map.

Hello, I've recently adopted the Sonia Peak page and am in the process of improving it. The coordinates are correct now. I'd be greatful if you could take another look at the page, review your page quality grade and give me any feedback as to how I can improve the page further. Cheers.

BigLee,

Aaporik is a victim blnmountains' zero-voting coup, which was done by a lot of avatars of his.

Blnmountains has suffered the consequences for this now.

The page was not bad and should never have been up for adoption.

IMHO it should be transferred back to Aaporik. He has worked a lot on it.

Almost needless to say, you have done nothing wrong in this case and if I had found a page about a peak I knew up for adoption, I would had done the same thing as you did - adopted it.

Cheers, JC.

Definitely improving, but the coordinates you've given place this mountain in the ocean to the south of Australia.

The page is not that bad, but you really need to add coordinates!

Once you´ve done that I´ll upgrade the vote.

It would be fun if you had more photos? Interesting mountain. Agree with the others, though. Maybe you're not ready yet? Tell me, when you are and I will raise the vote.

Edit:

Right now you have put the mountain in Venezuela, in Absaroka Range... it must be E for East, not W for West, but it's not just change that, because that spot is between Somalia and the Maldives, out in the ocean.

It ought to be somewhere 36 N 76 E

Oki! :-)

I DO NOT think this is right! The page was nowhere close to adoption. Ok, I let vote remain 4 star. You guys work it out.

Hi, I understand your protest but you are protesting at the wrong person. I have never voted on the quality for this page so obviously did not contribute to it being put up for adoption. I was quite surprised that it was put up for adoption because, like you, I did not think it was that bad.

Having climbed in Pakistan twice (once around Shimshal) I was happy to adopt the mountain and have been adding text daily. I will be climbing in Shimshal for the second time this summer where I'll be able to research this page further and hopefully maintain the page well. I want to expand the section on peaks in the Khunjerab mountains as the region is particularly unexplored and unclimbed. I also plan to add pages for the peaks I'm attempting this summer. I've put a lot of work into improving this page so would appreciate if you could reconcider your vote or advise me how I can improve it further. Thanks.

BigLee,

as you see, I gave you the four stars back. The page is worth four stars.

Yes, this is an unfortunate situation and I guess somehow you guys have to work it out so it's fair. Good luck, anyway!
