
Hasn't voted | It would be doable, but with a rope (unless your name's Croft or Reardon). The section between Middle Pal and Norman Clyde looks the toughest, I think around 5.8 if I remember right.
I plan to dayhike Norman Clyde next year via the usual NNE Ridge... but it would be way cool after that to go back and do the full Disappointment-Norman Clyde traverse, keeping to the ridge. Perhaps I can talk you into both? (The traverse might require a bivy, which is the only reason I'd want to make sure I dayhike Clyde Peak via its "easy" route first). Bob and I dropped way down on the traverse between Disappointment and Middle Pal, which is the way Secor shows to go, but it would be nice to go back and follow the crest next time. |
