Voted 10/10 | Nice description and pics of a very nice area--and a peak I've not heard of 'till now. But...a question regarding this sentence: These summits are mostly of similiar character, that being gentle slopes on the western side that give way to thousand foot drops on the eastern side due to differential weathering. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "differential weathering." Do you maybe mean "differential glaciation?" Just curious... Anyway, good job! | |

Hasn't voted | Yes you understood correctly. Differential glaciation in respect that snow accumulates on the eastern side (in areas of predminent western winds) of ridges carving out deeper and deeper depressions. I'll fix the sentence. Thanks for the correction! Jon | |
