Hasn't voted | When we were climbing the East Ridge, we passed a solo Italian woman who didn't have crampons. She was afraid to cross the first snow section without them, but if she had brought them it would have been an easy walk. She told us that someone had told her not to bother bringing crampons, but looking at the route from below you can clearly see a couple of snow slopes where it sure would be nice to have them.
