Hasn't voted | we ascended the northwest face, intending to climb the LB Blanca ridge. weather moved in and we decided to descend. without route information the west face/ridge looked best. we ended up descending the wrong gully route. actually, this is a superb 4th class gully/ridge, and I think this descent with an ascent of the NW face is a great tour of the mountain. if you take this advice, study the topos, it would be easy to get lost. the northwest face is better climbing- steeper and more direct. | |

Hasn't voted | Yes it is a great route, but you do have to watch out for the little rocks that can easily get knocked down and hit people below. I know, I knocked one down on my partner and hit him just below his helmet in the neck. Ouch. :-) If I ever do go back and do Little Bear, I'll be doing the NW Face for sure. | |
