What you have described is not a separate route. It's a normal route from Gouter, done by skis. I expected that you would describe what to do when you ski down from Ref. Gouter - how to get down over the rocky part to the Great Couloir.

But anyway, your pictures are great, I enjoyed them all and you did a nice ascent!

Cheers!

I understood what you meant. There are photos of you hiking and skinning up. What would you say the percentage was between the two and how much vertical did/can you cover downhill? Is the route down exactly the same as up? Would the the seasonal timing make the ski better (June versus August)? Did you have a guide who specializes in ski mountaineering? I'm thinking of a ski tour around Mt. Blanc next June and hadn't considered the summit until I saw your account.

Thanks,

-JB

Hello everybody! especially those of you interested in ski-mountaineering, I know the route I posted here is not a separate route, I just thought it might be helpful for those looking to do some ski mountaineering in the area. I personally was looking for information for ski tour in the mont blanc area and could not find much. I hope you find this helpful.
