Voted 10/10 | Hi, I was interested in where your information on the climbing grade of the Tournette Spur (on Mont Blanc) is from? Most guidebooks give this route a grade between PD and AD, and not D-. Or is the grade based on you personal experience? I'm interested because I'm planning to climb the route next summer. Thanks! Hasn't voted | Hi Jurgen, yes, that's my personal opinion, while quite a "seasoned" one (I've climbed the route in mid 90s). The grade is given for overall seriousness and physical strenuousness, not for any inherent technical difficulty (but if conditions are difficult, the technical grade may increase too!)
