This is a great route to take for summiting Mt. Gould, however, as a short cut to getting into the Rae Lakes Region or Dragon Lake, this is not what you want. The scree and talus slope on the North side of Gould Pass is steep and loose; not to mention long. With every step down the North side of the pass, slabs of talus and rock come racing after you in small avalaches. Some as large as 200 or 300 lbs.
On a positive note, the route finding is easy. There is no mistaking where you are and where you need to go.
