6/13/08 - I used the SW ridge as a descent route after climbing the Naked Lady Couloir. My climbing partner and I firmly believe that it didn't exceed 3rd class... but the supposed 4th & 5th class crux gully shown in the labeled picture on this page was filled with snow. A careful descending traverse was all it took to get by this part. It may very well be 4th or 5th class when dry. Our assessment of the route was tricky routefinding and easy scrambling.

It's certainly possible with spring snow conditions that this section would be much easier. I've changed my description to indicate this. Thanks for the info. Was the route here on SummitPost what led you to using the route?

I probably would have checked out the route regardless, but it was certainly nice knowing in advance that it would probably go. Thanks!
