We attempted the south ridge (as shown on the attached map) and discovered that there is a sizable block with significant exposure at about 8350' just before hitting Druid Plateau.
We backed down, and went around and ascended the east side. There is a slight rib that points east from the middle of Druid Plateau towards Shield Lake. Hit this ridge on the bench at 7500' and run it to the plateau. We approached the ridge from the south (easy rambling from Prusik Pass).
Be sure to turn around on the plateau and remember which notch to use to drop back down. |
