Nice page. There's a better, easier to follow, and quicker way into Juniper Canyon that starts at Oak Creek parking area. Susan and I linked paths and trails together last year. With so many spur trails coming off of the Pine Creek TH, I was finding it hard to follow the trail into Juniper Canyon. I have probably been through Juniper Canyon 50+ times. If I was having trouble, I figured it was time for a new way into Juniper Canyon.

Excellent. I've never approached Juniper Cyn from Oak Creek TH before. Thanks for the info, and thanks for the nice comment.

I don't know if you heard, but I'm headed out to the Red Rocks area next week. I need to get myself tuned up with some hikes and stuff. I don't know about Pine Creek, but I'm sure I'll be
visiting Turtlehead Peak and Calico Basin. Those are my two
objectives. I'll also be making a run out to the Grapevine Mtns.,
and west Zion if I have time. (I'll make the time!) Take care.

Thanks Larry. You'll have a blast. Frankly, if you're up for some greater scenery and fun scrambling, skip Turtlehead Peak. Head for Pine Creek (or any of a number of great backcountry locales tucked away just off the beaten path) - great stuff back in there. Go as far as you like!

And thanks for the kind comments!
