Great photography and climbing beta, but did you ever find the suds? Do you have a photo of YOU posted ... I need to attach it
to one of my albums. Do you ever use cams, bolts or pitons? I
take it that cams can be used in granite but NOT sandstone, right?
Take care of yourself, and THANKS for sharing the interesting photos.

Larry - thanks for the kind word.

"I take it that cams can be used in granite but NOT sandstone, right? " Cams are pretty universally used. In fact, many routes on sandstone (think perfectly parallel walled cracks, ala Indian Creek) will really not take anything but cams.

Not a problem. Guess it depends on the area in which you climb.
So you use camalots in sandstone. This sounds a bit LAME, but
a parallel crack goes from left to right, and a vertical crack
travels up and down. Is that right??? Have a good 'un and keep on
smilin', rpc!

No problem Dow - it's a great climb on a great tower. Did you try anything else on the White Rim?

no, Washer Woman became a last minute plan for our last day...I can see now that we should camp back there for several days...it took us 2.5 hrs (from south Moab) via Potash just to get to the start of the approach...beautiful country, never been back there, very cool indeed.
