The area was heavily burned during 2000's Manter fire, and to a lesser extent, 2002's McNally fire. According to the ranger at Bald Mt. LO, Manter burned the southern area of the Domelands, and McNally came from the north.
It's a great area, and is recovering well. Watch your campfires!
