Voted 10/10 | As one who loves Idaho (my dad was born in Arco) and its mountains, the Idaho county highpoints are on my list. You've got a great page going here and I particularly like your overview. Idaho certainly has some of the toughest county highpoints and lots of varied ones in the southern part of the state as well. Grizzly country in Boundary county part (near Fisher Peak) to an interesting foray into Owyhee county to get the HP there. Hard to beat mountains like Borah, Hyndman, Bell, Diamond, Snowyside, Cramer, He/She Devil. Idaho has it all. | |

Hasn't voted | Your a great reference for this list (and others). Is He/She Devil considered the true high point? I saw some discrepancies amongst lists. What was your toughest overall ID county HP? | |

Voted 10/10 | My understanding is that He/She Devil are one half of what you need to get to count Idaho county. On the cohp.org listing, they show three topozone references. http://www.cohp.org/id/idaho.html#Idaho So far I only have 23 of Idaho's cohp's with probably Rhodes Peak being the toughest (did it with Bob Bolton and Dan Robbins) mainly due to getting to it. I know Idaho county will be tougher as well as Valley county. Most enjoyable so far: Borah and Hyndman. Most memorable: getting our vehicle totally stuck in the mud in Gooding county and walking out 20 miles to get help. Goal for 2006: About ten more Idaho counties so I can try and finish them in 2007 Update: Did Franklin, Bingham, Washington, Latah and 1/2 of Idaho County. He/She Devil. I think She Devil might be slightly higher but it is too close to call. Total: 27 Cohp's | |
