Great to have a Parent for Skil Brum. I encourage you to provide statistics of peak heights and numbers in a table from and to name all the 8000ers in the range.

Question: Would you consider a Parent "Karakoram" spaning cross boarders worthwhile? I think that mountain ranges that span across the boarder of one country should not be limited to boarders or Nations. Just food for thought.

.....father (Fritz Wintersteller) who was on the 1957 Broad Peak expedition?? It's too bad that Herman Buhl died shortly after that ascent, when he fell through a cornice whilst climbing Chogolisa with Diemburger.

BigLeeThere's...

...a lot more info that could be added to this page. For example about the various sub-ranges that make up the Karakoram (eg. Baltoro Muztagh, Hispar Muztagh, Ghuzherav, Batura Muztagh, etc) and the huge glaciers that flow from them. Some lists would be useful. You don't just have to use your own photos for this page by the way. Attach photos from other pages - Also attach them into the actually text. (Go to 'Add Image' on the edit screen') There are some great Karakoram photos on SP. By the way, Tirich Mir is not a Karakoram peak. Cheers, Lee

Hi. Will hopefully add a fair amount over the holidays. I know that Batura II is unclimbed by the way. Coordinates and ascents are all wrong as I copied the table from another page for the formating and haven't got around to updating it yet.

...of the photography, the writing. It comes together, even under construction, to make one of SP's best pages! Thanks so very much for taking the time!

And the avalanche/slide-show sequence is amazing....

Incredible!!!!!

Thanks. There are too many mountains for me to really describe with any detail so I've been trying to build the page that is a tool to begin planning a climbing trip. Let me know if there is anything you want to see on this page. Some things that seem obvious to me may not be obvious to people who haven't visited the region.

...about these killer peaks! Big Lee hit a homerun here! We may need to add pages for K6, K7, and Drifika peak which are located east of the Hushe valley in Pakistan!

Cheers. I've not visited the Charakusa or Nangma valleys so am not the best person for these peaks and only know what I've read elsewhere.
