Voted 7/10 | We always knew her as the "Gnarly Northy". It took me 3 tries to tag the summit -- the two unsuccessful climbs were turned back at the last snowfield due to loose snow on beautiful days, the summit was achieved on a cruddy day with very little visibility -- so I still consider her Gnarly. Voted 7/10 | By the way, the reason I popped by your Three Sisters page was a reference elsewhere to the Tam McArthur rim. I have a fond memory of a summer week spent on Three Creeks Lake in the 1950s with my dad. One of the day we took the hike up the rim. Wow, we were blown away, first with the fact that there was a road up there, and a station wagon full of picnicing family. And the Broken Top -- right there. Wow. | |

Voted 10/10 | Hey Dirk. Not sure if Aconcagua will be for me until at least 2009. I'm getting married this year so vacation time is used up for that and one other trip I already had planned. I think we will defer our honeymoon until next year when I get more vacation with my company and it looks like we are going to try to go to New Zealand for a couple weeks. That means most likely it would be 2009. Sorry man. If it it still on your list to do then, let me know. And if you are ever up here and want to hit something here, I'm around............. Brian | |

Hasn't voted | Enjoyed reading about Three Sisters wilderness. The overveiw said it all and the images were great. I wish I could have explored that area while I had been living in Oregon...just relocated to Washington. Good Luck on your next venture up into the high country.....the only place to get away from the artificial world. Liz | |
