Voted 10/10 | Any chance of including a section of the first attempt on the face, and on the people (at least the first of the nine) whom died on the face before it was climbed? Depressing, but of importance to some. First attempt and first deaths, could be more "first". | |

Voted 10/10 | I second Scott's comments. Mehringer and Sedlmayer (by a direct route) was the first known attempt and deserve a mention. as do Angerer, Hinterstoisser, Rainer and Kurtz. I'm sure you know these guys attempted the face before the first successful attempt. (I reckon Sedlmayer and Mehringer were just incredibly unlucky with the weather - history could have been different) So it's not a criticsim of your page but I think this additional detail would enhance your page. In fact It would be great if your page could build into an encyclopaedia of Nordwand attempts | |
