I'd love to take a crack at Graham peak.

I spent some time out there looking for an elusive geocache

I did not venture high, but did see some interesting stuff. In one cave we visited (1/2 a mile form the road) there were soot marks on the ceiling, and broken arrowheads on the floor. I'm sure a god survey would reveal some interesting stuff. My understandin is that the artifacts probably date to the same time as Danger Cave, about 9000 years old. The area at the time was a fresh water marshy area, with lots of fish & waterfowl. Now its all salt flats.

I hope to get back there some time this year to do nearby Pilot Peak as well as Graham. In fact, it'd be fun to do several of the peaks of the Silver Island range. I'm going to have to get involved in geocaching, it looks like a lot of fun.

Dean - Really nice job on the page, this is a very different mountain range! There is a lot of really interesting geology in these mountains. I actually just got back from hiking Leppy, Volcano and Lamus peaks this weekend, got a few pictures I'll upload. :-)

I appreciate your comments but even more I appreciate the fact that you've been out there. It'd be great if you can put up pages on those peaks you visited and a trip report. The pics you posted are great, post all you can. This is an interesting range and deserves recognition here at SP.

Very appealing little range. I've been fascinated by it a number of times driving past. Don't know when I'll have the time to make a trip, but nice to know where to get data in case I do.
