Hasn't voted | Good page. Any chance of calling the page Boulder Mountain/Bluebell Knoll? (If not, that's OK by me). I only ask because Bluebell Knoll is just a bump on the summit cap of Boulder Mountain, and the mountain contains much more than just the knoll, and areas that are far more spectacular. Have you been on the east side by chance? Very nice, and one of my favorite areas. | |

Hasn't voted | Thanks Scott for your comments and query. I've pretty much kept it to Bluebell Knoll since most county highpointers identify with that name. You are right about it being just the top of Boulder Mtn and I did make a reference to that in the overview although I didn't dwell on it. It would sound more impressive to call it Boulder Mtn as a Knoll doesn't excite me very much. I haven't been on the east side but some day I'll get a chance to explore the area with more time. We were pushing to get as close as we could to the next cohp, Mt. Ellen so we could do it the next day. We drove down to Boulder via Hell's Backbone and the drive via Posey Lake road was really special. What a great state. We could've used a month down there. BTW, this reference page has a neat drawing of the Aquarius Plateau and shows BB Knoll as the bump it really is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aquarius_Plateau I have a link to it on the front page. | |
