Voted 10/10 | What an excellent page! You know this mountain very well. But it's interesting, why is the east bowl closed? Because of tragedies? I went there on a ski tour Sunday, and didn't see anything about a closure... Sorry I didn't bring a camera, otherwise I'd add some pics. | |

Hasn't voted | MVS, as far as I remember the closure of the east bowl is due to a pair of eagles nesting there since a while ago. I remember they closed it at least 20 years ago. But what is going on recently, or the terms for the closure today, I don't know. | |
