Thanks for an important addition to SP. When I was preparing to go to Pakistan in '88 the only maps source I could find was Chessler Books. Here's their map index page:

There has been quite a few posts on the forums where they warn people from buying from Chessler, among them a thread right now in P&P "Blacklist-companies I will NEVER buy from again"

Thanks for the input.
I have no personal experiences with Chessler books, but haven't heard anything bad before the comment in the thread. I will remove it if I hear more negative comments.
A friend bought some antique books there and was very satisfied.

Good page idea.

Here are a few other sources you could list:

-Ordinance Survey - Great Britain's national mapping agency. Buy paper maps or use their interactive map feature, Get-a-Map.
http://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk
http://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/oswebsite/getamap/

Maps.com
Maplink.com

-Both in Santa Barbara, CA. Countless maps of all types available for purchase.

Terraserver
terraserver.microsoft.com
-Mosaiced USGS topo maps covering the US along with an aerial photography overlay. (a feature Topozone does not have for free)

USGS National Map and Seamless data distribution
-free, downloadable digital map data for GIS applications (internationanl data available at the Seamless site)

Thanks.
Yes, I'm trying to add anything interesting I come across when looking around.
I hope it'll be a little library within the SP library.
:-)

You should add this source to your page:
http://www.geoportail.fr
Great web site with official topographic maps (up to 1/25000) and pictures (and other stuffs) of the whole France and within a few months a dynamic 3D view. (from the IGN, National Geographical Institut)

Just another great one :
http://www.nztopoonline.linz.govt.nz/

Topo maps (up to 1/12500) of New zealand. Quiet slow but very complete. It's even possible to download map as pdf format.
