Very good description of this mountain.
I just want to add that the year 2000 was even worse. On March 28th 12 skiing instructors were killed in an enormous avalanche when skiing down from Kitzsteinhorn to Mühlbachtal. It was one of the most severe avalanche accidences besides Galtür 1999 with 31 victims.
Kitzsteinhorn is also an outstanding excample for central alpine karst with Feichtnerschachthöhle (vertical difference more than 1000m) and several other large caves that developed within marbles and calcareous mica schists.

This page was highly needed and you did it great.

Two suggestions: (1) When you did copy-paste, the text broke down, so it's hard to read. Go, edit it, delete all unneeded spaces and line breaks and make decent paragraphs. (2) Attach some pictures to chapters.

It´s a good idea to create a "First Aid Dictionary"! Because it´s hard to translate specific words into english!

Hey it's very nice. I just spent a few days skiing there, and still learned things from your page. Thank you!
