Voted 10/10 | I was there again this weekend. Wonderful place & great page / photos. I've always known it as Mt. Gill though. Any idea about the origins of the name Mt. Corruption & when it came into use? | |

Hasn't voted | Thanks for looking. As far as I know the name was derived from the quality of rock only. There are so many peaks in the Lost River (and other areas) with unofficial or local names. Interesting to hear it's also Gill. | |

Voted 10/10 | Corruption (I've also heard Gill) is one of my favorite mountains; the view from the summit rivals anything I've ever seen anywhere, including higher mountains in more "dramatic" locales. You've done a great job with the page and pix. I've been up the couloirs on the north side, and your route info is spot-on. Thanks for putting up this page! | |
