Voted 10/10 | I camped in this area last time out. Really nice place where we saw huge herds of Elk in the high country. Also, last sentence in the Red Tape section does't make sense to me ?? | |

Hasn't voted | My fault-- I thought your comment pertained to a different page, and that answer will make no sense considering your remark. What I meant on the Rocky Mountain page is that there is a certain protocol one should know and follow when travelling in bear country, especially grizzly country, and that if one doesn't know it just from my mentioning that, he or she should learn it before heading out there. It's better for the traveller and for the bears, too many of which get shot because of stupid people. | |

Voted 10/10 | Rocky Mountain is an excellent climb! The part that makes it a little more interesting is that you use Headquarters Pass Trail all the way until the pass itself, then you free climb it the rest of the way. Way fun and totally rewarding from the top with the views of Old Baldy, Mount Wright, and even a bit of the Chinese Wall. | |

Hasn't voted | As you get more and more into climbing peaks, you'll find that most don't have trails to the top and will come to prefer it that way. Rocky Mountain is a nice introduction to off-trail peakbagging! | |
