I think what the best form to write Cataluña (if you computer don't had "ñ") is to write "Catalunya" (in catalá, the language of the region).

La Pedrera by Antoni Gaudi. It's a residential building in Barcelona and a very imaginative houses of the architecture history. It's rather a sculpture than a building. I read he was inspired by Montserrat and shaped the house to reflect the mountain. From the right angle, it's possible to impose the facade of the house on the mountain, and they match.

yes, I've given a look up to almost all Gaudi's buildings : the Sagrada Famiglia towers look like dolomites pinnacles and I was enticed to climb them ... !

:-) You know that little bridge between the towers? It has really low barriers and usually is full of people. Almost everybody behaved in the same way, if one stood watching for awhile. They went out on the bridge, then leaned over to look down at the outside of the towers - and flew backwards in panic to the middle of the narrow bridge as vertigo hit them. It's like looking down a big wall, they're so straight.

:-) You would have created sensation if you'd really had climbed them!

for climbing is definitely NOT (!!) November - the campsite was closed and we had bad weather (rain, fog..)

but Barcelona became one of my favorite cities to visit in Europe
