And yet another great contribution to Summitpost. But don't you wanna keep a place like this secret?;) Sounds like an amazing area, and amply supported with gorgeous photography as usual:) Someday when I drain the Olympic wilderness dry I'll pop over to your side and do some exploring:)

Thank you! You know, I have debated with myself whether I should share a "secret" place like this, but it's really not mine, and it is a great place. And I'm not worried the crowds from Yellowstone and Grand Teton will come rushing down anytime soon.

What happened to all the children of this page? There used to be several other mountains listed under these ranges, but they've since disappeared. Any ideas?

I do know. Unfortunately, the person who had made those other pages deleted those and all of his other ones. He is someone I like and respect, and I understand why he did it, though I wish he hadn't. I think it's a total of four gone now, and the page certainly misses them.

Thanks for looking, and I'm glad you liked it. It's one of my favorite areas in the west-- beautiful, rugged, and very quiet.

Drove that Greys River Road with my family back in the early 90s from Alpine Junction to La Barge. Camped along the river for 4 or 5 days. Great place to get away from most of the population, at least until now-just kidding. Got a little sketchy with the mini van and pop-up trailer, but we made it through.
Reading your page makes me want to get back up there. Thanks!

Thanks, Bill. I'm glad to know there are others (and there are a few here), though not too many, of course, have eperienced this great place. That trip you took sounds just about perfect. Myself, I hope to get back out there in summer 2009.
