Hasn't voted | keep order in the animal community......:) The rangers make sure that the lands are being used properly and not abused. this area is only 2 or so hours from NYC and also a very large watershed area for NYC. They are also there to maintain certain areas and trails I believe. I will look further into this to give you a better answer, I do know that I have seen rangers in these hills, and they just hike the trails. | |
